My Passion
I was very fortunate to learn throughout my life what an impact a coach can make on someone’s life. I was lucky to have one of the best coaches that ever lived, my dad. He wasn’t only my coach, he was a little league baseball coach to other boys, before I was even big enough to hold up a bat. He started a business and he was a business coach to his employees, before people even heard of the word, a business coach. He was always coaching and helping people to improve, be successful and be happy.
I also had another tremendous coach, my Boy Scout Scoutmaster, Mr. Campbell. He coached, encouraged, thought and guided me throughout my journey to becoming an Eagle Scout.
In sports, I learned how to coach and how not to coach. I had a coach who told me to quit the wrestling team and never come back. He might have told me this because I lost 12 out of 12 wrestling matches my freshman year in high school. In fact, I got pinned 12 out of 12 times. But no coach should tell someone to quit, just because they are not successful right away. I learned how not to coach from this coaching experience. A good experience, lessons learned.
In sports, I was fortunate to also have some excellent coaches. These coaches told me that if I wanted to do something, never let someone else tell you to quit. Well, I’m glad I listened to these coaches. I did not quit. In fact, I went to college on an athletic scholarship for wrestling. I won two National Wrestling Championships, and was a member of the First United States Wrestling Team to win a World Championship for the United States of America. Russia came in second and Bulgaria came in third.
In my business career, I have also had excellent coaches. At each stage of my business career. When I worked for other people, when I started businesses, built companies, bought and sold companies and even when I started The Business Coach, I learned from some of the top coaches in the world.
I love to teach, coach and help people to become successful. It is extremely fulfilling to coach clients to become even more successful, than they ever thought they could be. I get that thrill of victory when I see my coaching clients succeed and surpass their goals. That is why I love to do what I do and why I am , The Business Coach.
Sincerely,
